Financial Literacy Courses and Budgeting
Consumers are able to take advantage of our free online courses. The Debt Guard Financial Literacy Program and Money Smart programs offer self-paced instructional sessions. Both will assist consumers with the necessary skills to improve their financial management skills that include debt management, credit cards, budgeting, and debt. Information on credit, debt, budgeting and other financial topics is available.

Community Outreach Program
CESI has in place a strong Community Outreach program that includes an on-site Learning Center and Library equipped with computers and free financial resource materials available for check out.
Partnerships have been formed with local colleges and universities, including Fayetteville State University, Methodist College, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and Fayetteville Technical Community College. On site workshops focus on helping college students learn how to avoid the “credit card trap” as well as teach them budgeting skills to better manage their personal finances.
